I’m More Likely to Buy a Steam Deck Than a PS5 or Xbox Series X in 2022

If I were to buy a new video game system, it would hands down be the Steam Deck.

When it comes to purchasing a new video game system, I feel like I’m not the best person to be in the market for one. As a PC gamer, I get a lot out of my hardware and games. Many of the games that I enjoy are released on PC. When I want a break from PC, I have a Nintendo Switch, Nintendo WiiU, PlayStation 4 Pro, and an Xbox 360 that can provide further gaming experiences. The games that I tend to focus on with the other systems are many times exclusive to the platform such as Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Switch), Ghost of Tsushima (PS4), and the first Crackdown (Xbox 360). Many of Xbox’s exclusives are also available on PC so that’s how I keep up with the Microsoft exclusive brands such as Halo, Forza Horizon, Gears of War, Ori, State of Decay, and Sunset Overdrive. Fire Pro Wrestling World CAW/Mod Showcase #4 Downloads

The latest Fire Pro Wrestling World CAW/Mod Showcase takes arguably the two most important matches from tomorrow’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view in CM Punk against MJF and the AEW World Title match between champion Hangman Page and Adam Cole. Fire Pro provides no option for a Dog Collar Match so I chose to go with a barbed wire match with some weapons instead. In the two matches featured in the video, I control CM Punk and Adam Page, respectively. Props to TheAvenger3 for his awesome wrestler creations. Below are links to the four created wrestlers used in the video. As always, you can subscribe to these wrestlers on Steam Workshop if you own the PC version of Fire Pro Wrestling World. TVGA YouTube Reaches 700 Subscribers!

I never would have imagined that The Video Gamer’s Advocate YouTube channel would have 700 subscribers in just a bit over a year.

I’m always thinking of ways to make The Video Gamer’s Advocate YouTube Channel better. Because of that, I don’t hesitate to try new things and experiment with ideas that I may have. I also make sure to keep a balance because of my health issues so I don’t put myself in a position of being overwhelmed or burnt out. Whenever I’ve started to feel that way, I would take a month off or make adjustments to the amount and type of content I would post. Continuing to create content on this blog and the YouTube channel are endeavors that I want to carry out for the long term. Continue Reading

How I Play Big Exploration Games

I am a huge fan of open-world video games. These are the type of games that make you feel as if you are embarking on a grand adventure. And instead of constantly attempting to lead and force you in a certain direction all the way through, open-world games give you the freedom to explore, take your time, and take in the experience more at your leisure. Would I want every video game to be open-world? Certainly not. Many games have benefitted from being linear and containing a clear-cut beginning, middle, and end. I’m thankful that those games do exist as well. But I will say that there is nothing like playing a good open-world game. Continue Reading

Star Wars Battlefront Expanded Edition Mod Download

I used to own the original Star Wars Battlefront on PlayStation 2 back in the day, but coming across the outstanding Expanded Edition Mod made me repurchase the game on PC last month. Star Wars video games have been in abundance since I was a child, but very few of them were games that I would consider to be great. Even though Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was an amazing roleplaying game, it lacked the action that characterized the Star Wars films. In 2004, the release of Star Wars Battlefront changed all that and brought us an action-packed experience that was inspired by the gameplay of Battlefield 1942. This was the type of Star Wars game that I had long waited for. The first two Battlefronts became my favorite Star Wars titles of all time. While the first Battlefront is a terrific package in its default state, the Expanded Edition mod expands the map count to more than 70. The mod also includes new units, new game modes, and the ability to play cross-era battles (Empire vs Droids, Rebels vs Republic, etc.).  Continue Reading
