The summer is almost upon us. It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. In my last post, I detailed some of my health issues that led to an extended hospital stay, and started me on a road to recovery. The good news is that I’m doing much better than I was earlier in the year. My doctor discontinued one of the antibiotics I was taking and my lab results are much better than they were a month ago. I’ve been focusing on really taking it easy in the meantime. That is why I have not been updating the blog regularly. I’m definitely still gaming in the meantime. The generosity of others for my recent birthday allowed me to check out some of this year’s releases to date such as LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga, Elden Ring, Sifu, Rogue Legacy 2, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and Vampire Survivors. If you have a Steam account, Vampire Survivors is worth checking out. It is an engaging survival-type game with a Castlevania-like feel with cool abilities and a solid progression system. Vampire Survivors is also the best deal that you will find on Steam with a low price of $2.99.
Now for the reason why I have a Playstation 5 photo in this post. My older brother dropped a PS5 on me with NBA 2K22 and Back to Blood for my birthday gift this year. I was completely shocked. The reason is that I was still more than content with playing my PS4 Pro and even waiting for another year because I decided to purchase the system myself. But since I now have the PS5, I’ve been putting it to use. The backward compatibility component of the PS5 for the PS4 is awesome. All of PS4 games that I have on my external hard drives are playable on the PS5 without the need to download or install the games again. The PS5 will load the games directly from the external hard drive to play right away. Transferring over my saved games from the PS4 Pro to the PS5 was very easy and just required a flash drive. I’m really digging the PS5.
I decided to buy a few more PS5 games that I felt would be nice additions. MLB: The Show 21, NHL 22, and Ratchet & Clank: Time Rift were my choices. Ratchet & Clank: Time Rift was one of the games I was especially looking forward to. Insomniac Games did a terrific job with this complete package of a game that excels in every area. The graphics and visual design are wonderful, the gameplay is action-oriented and very engaging, the sound quality is top-notch, and the plot is very fun. I want to give a shout-out to Paul Bowler as his gameplay videos on his YouTube Channel are what piqued my interest in the game.
So I’m really thankful to have had an awesome gaming birthday and appreciative that I’ve been recovering well. I hope that all of you who are reading this are doing well. Thanks for taking the time to visit the blog even in my absence. Last month yielded the highest number of views and visits here on the blog without me making a single post. I’m grateful to all of you who have continued to follow this website. Even though I have not posted any new content, I am still active in responding to comments both here on the blog and the YouTube channel so feel free to leave your thoughts and feedback on those platforms. Take care and Happy Gaming to you all.

Great to hear your recovery is going well after your surgery. Awesome that you got a PS5 for your birthday as well! Take care and happy gaming! 🙂
The PS5 birthday gift was incredible. One of my childhood friends gifted me a Nintendo Switch three years ago. So I’ve been spoiled.
Just reading your post…it’s extremely a blessing that you are fully recovered and still here first and foremost! And a new game console with some games as a welcome home gift and birthday gift doesn’t get any better 😊 I am an XBOX fanatic and aiming towards the XBOX Series X but my boy working hard to convince me to get on that PS5 wave lol…
I appreciate your comment. Yes, I am thankful to still be here. Unfortunately, since this post, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. I haven’t had the chance to do another health update here on the site, but I’m going to be starting chemotherapy next week. In the meantime, I’m just doing things to keep my mind in a positive place. I’ve also completely changed my diet and taking supplements to help my body out as much as I can on top of the treatment. Praying helps as well.
If you do get the Xbox Series X, let me know what you think of it.
I pray that everything goes successfully with chemo and fighting cancer overall! I have lost quite of few family members due to cancer…you’re a fighter and believe that you have already won the battle💪💯 continue to stay encouraged and enjoy every moment life has for you! And P.S. I will keep informed if I get the Xbox Series X 👍
