It seems as if Lady Alicina Dimitrescu has emerged as the star of the newest entry in the Resident Evil series.

Now that we are out of January and it looks like the GameStop stock market debacle has calmed down, announcements of upcoming games and expanded content in current games are what dominated gaming news this week. Along with that, there appears to be a “growing” fascination with one of the new characters introduced in the upcoming Resident Evil Village game to the point that developers are recognizing it. For the most part, I tend to get the best of the bots when I play them in team deathmatches. But occasionally, the bots will rise up against me and put together an assault that ends with me losing the round. This is one of those times. The bots get their revenge.

WHY I BELIEVE Street Fighter II Began the Decline of Arcades

At one time, Street Fighter II packed people into arcades.

I loved arcades growing up. From the 1980s into most of 1990s, the arcades provided gaming experiences that you just couldn’t get at home. The graphics were better and the sound was superior. The joysticks, steering wheels, and guns made it an experience like no other. One thing console games did have over arcade games was how they were made to have greater longevity than arcade games. The notion behind arcades games was to give you a shortened, condensed experience for each quarter you were spending. So a role-playing game like Final Fantasy would have never fit the arcade model. The Uncharted series is always spoken of in high regard when it comes to its main story/campaign mode, but some of the extra modes also have some fun content that is worth trying out. In Uncharted 4, there is a very fun survival mode that you can play as a single player and the game will provide an A.I. teammate to help you fight off the waves of enemies. Watch Nathan and Elena team up in the snow in the video above.

It is surreal that this post marks the 100th time that something has been published on this site. This is an accomplishment that means the world to me because not only have I enjoyed using this platform to indulge my interest in video gaming, but this has also served as something that I’ve been able to maintain and grow over time despite the many health setbacks that I’ve had over the past several years.
