There Were Tons of Free Games in December
My patience with Shenmue III paid off as it was one of Epic Games’ free giveaways in December.
I don’t think that I could ever state enough how thankful I am that we live in a time where video games can be legally acquired for free throughout each year. To say that I have taken advantage of this generosity would be an understatement. When I’m talking about “free” in this sense, I’m not referring to “free-to-play” games. What I am referring to are full games that are provided free of charge to whoever is willing to take the time to go through the process of claiming them. And if you enjoy free games, then December is the best month of the year in that regard. Last month, I added nearly 20 games to my library that would have easily cost me hundreds of dollars if I were to buy them at regular prices. Allied Intent Xtended 2.0 Mod for Battlefield 2 PC Download
I now have loads of mods on my PC that I play in conjunction with Battlefield 2, but the Allied Intent Xtended (AIX) mod was the first one that I ever played for the game. The way it upgraded the default experience with better weapons, equipment, vehicles, and AI really grabbed my attention. Once I played this mod a few years ago, I was hooked on Battlefield 2 and I’ve been making it my mission to explore as many mods for the game as I can ever since. Is This the Biggest Acquisition in Gaming History?
News broke yesterday of Microsoft’s plans to acquire Activision Blizzard.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Wait a minute. I had already edited a post to go up today that was going to be on my free game acquisitions during December, but that will be delayed until Saturday. Just browsing through the news headlines, I came to find that Microsoft is slated to acquire Activision Blizzard. To put this in perspective, Activision Blizzard is the company that publishes Call of Duty titles, World of Warcraft, Candy Crush, Overwatch, and the Diablo series. This is ridiculous and mind-boggling. I thought the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda (Doom, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein), was huge. This is much bigger. You’re talking about one of the most lucrative gaming brands in Call of Duty and online gaming subscription services in World of Warcraft now being under Microsoft’s umbrella. Marvel Ultimate Alliance Mods: Black Cat, Mary Jane & Silver Sable Downloads
There are so many mods to sample on MarvelMods.com created by very talented modders who have a passion for keeping the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance alive with new gameplay experiences. With the recent success of the latest Spider-Man film, I thought it would be fun to show some gameplay with a few of the web slinger’s favorite female allies. This includes Black Cat, Mary Jane, and Silver Sable. All three can also be found in the amazing Marvel’s Spider-Man by Insomniac Games on the PlayStation 4. Black Friday and the start of the winter season is a wonderful time of year if you are a gamer. You’ll find great deals on computers, consoles, games, accessories, and a whole lot more. It’s a time that you can splurge and get a lot in return for your investment. Even Nintendo will drop some of its first-party titles as much as $20.
