Genshin Impact is the Best Bang for no Bucks

Free-to-play role playing game Genshin Impact has been all the rage since its release last month.

When The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released in March 2017, it was considered a true masterpiece in gaming. It can be argued that the Wii U and Nintendo Switch title is the grandest Nintendo title to date with a gigantic world that has a seemingly endless amount to do within The Legend of Zelda universe. Not surprisingly, Breath of the Wild is regarded as a game that defines a generation and one of the best of all time. It is also the inspiration for a newly released free-to-play game, Genshin Impact. Continue Reading

Ubisoft Games Allow Gamers To Explore Vast Worlds

My Uplay collection is full of games to lose yourself in.

The major video game publishers are all known for certain signature games. Electronic Arts is known for its Madden NFL, The Sims, and Battlefield games. Activision Blizzard publishes Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch. Tt Games is linked to the various LEGO video games we see coming out. But my focus for today’s post is going to be on the publisher known as Ubisoft. Continue Reading

The Best Sites for Updated Sports Rosters

With updated rosters, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence (#16) can be in your NCAA Football 14 game.

Being that we are a few weeks into the new football season, within the postseasons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as just having finished the NHL Stanley Cup Finals (congrats to the Tampa Bay Lightning), I thought that this was just as good a time as any to do a post on the best places to find updated rosters for your sports video games. Long before sports game developers implemented downloadable rosters within their games, there existed a community of gamers who were already providing updated rosters for sports games online. For years I’ve benefited from the efforts of these fellow gamers that helped to extend the life of my sports games far beyond the annual cycle they were created for. Continue Reading

IN THE NEWS: Peter Parker Changes from PS4 to PS5

Wait a minute…That’s not the Peter Parker I remember from Marvel’s Spider-Man on Playstation 4.

Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the depiction of Peter Parker in the Playstation 4 (PS4) hit, Marvel’s Spider-Man. This depiction will not carry on to the Spider-Man remaster on Playstation 5 (PS5). When Sony revealed the updated Peter Parker, many gamers were not happy with the change. And it seems like the developers at Insomniac Games depicted Parker to slightly resemble Tom Holland, who is the actor who currently plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in films. This was very interesting to me. I can’t recall there being a time when a remastered game led to its main character appearing completely different. Continue Reading

WHAT I’VE BEEN PLAYING: Soldat 2

Soldat 2 excels in high-flying, high-octane 2D shooting mayhem even in its early access state.

Fun as heck. That is how I am describing the newly released Soldat 2, which is a welcome addition to my PC gaming collection. I am new to the Soldat series as I just recently played the original a week prior to purchasing the latest one last week on Steam. Soldat 2 is currently in early access but for the $13.49 price tag, there was more than enough to justify my purchase. Plus, I’m always on the lookout for independent gaming gems. Continue Reading
