Fire Emblem: Three Houses is outstanding, but I haven’t gotten around to completing it yet.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of the best games of the past few years and, for me, one of the greatest that I’ve ever played. I’ve accumulated more than 60 hours so far and I don’t even think I’ve reached the halfway point. The fact that I haven’t completed it doesn’t take anything away from the fantastic spectacle that Fire Emblem is. Nintendo is truly fortunate to have such a brand exclusive to its consoles. CrossCode: A Retro-Inspired Masterpiece

From the moment you see the title screen, CrossCode feels like it is going to be special.

I haven’t felt this way about a game in a long time. Back during the Super Nintendo Entertainment System days, I came across a role-playing game named Chrono Trigger that completely changed the way that I looked at what could be accomplished in a single video game. To this day, I vouch for Chrono Trigger as the greatest game that I’ve ever played and no game has ever come close to providing me with the sense of wonder that title provided. IN THE NEWS: PS3, Vita Digital Stores Shutting Down

PS3, PS Vita, and PSP owners will soon not be able to make digital purchases on the PlayStation Store.

With the way video game consoles come and go within the video game market, it was only a matter of time before older systems such as the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and the PlayStation Portable were going to no longer receive online support from Sony. Earlier this week, it was reported by Game Informer that the PlayStation Store on a web browser no longer has options to purchase games for the three systems. The report also pointed out that those same system owners will no longer be to purchase games through the console’s digital store later this year. Continue Reading

It is now the beginning of the first full month in our new spring season and I thought it would be a great time to give a quick update on what I’ve been up to and what I want to accomplish going forward with The Video Gamer’s Advocate.
