Celebrating Some Cool Milestones Reached Over the Weekend

Today’s post is more of a short update. I just wanted to inform all of you of some cool milestones that both this blog and YouTube channel reached on Saturday. The “IN THE NEWS” post two days ago marked the 200th post on the main website. On the same day, I reached 100 subscribers on YouTube. This was such an exciting way to kick off the weekend. I’m appreciative of everyone who has taken the time to check out either platform.

Oddly enough, it was during the month (August) I didn’t upload any videos that I had my biggest surge in subscribers since I started the YouTube channel last December. More than 40 people subscribed to my channel in the last 30 days alone. The Video Gamer’s Advocate YouTube channel has accumulated more than 26,000 total views and 700 total hours of watch time since its inception. I’m humbled and blown away by these analytics because, other than this blog, I have not been promoting my channel or doing anything other than creating content. It’s been very fulfilling to know that people have been finding the YouTube channel and watching.

There are currently 86 followers of this site. I’m thankful for each of you who take the time to check out the content here. Just a bit over a week ago, this site had an 86-85 lead over the YouTube channel, but there was one night I went to bed and woke up the next morning with 90 subscribers on Youtube. The video channel is doing very well. Yet I’m more proud of the following here on WordPress because blogging is an expression primarily in written form that requires people to read one’s content. From a writing perspective, I also believe I’ve shared much more of who I am as a gamer on this platform. So I’m really appreciative of those of you who visit this site and read the posts.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. To celebrate, I pulled the trigger on Tales of Arise as a way to celebrate these milestones. It’s been a game I had been hearing great things about and it looked fantastic. This will be the first Tales game I’ve ever played. I’m also a big fan of Bandai Namco games (Tekken 7, Soul Caliber 6, Code Vein) in general. Scarlet Nexus, which was released earlier this year, was developed/published by Bandai Namco and is one of the best games I’ve played in 2021. Expect some impressions from Tales of Arise next month. Until then, Happy Gaming.
