There is no doubt that live service games are making astronomical amounts of money. Games like Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto Online, Destiny 2, Call of Duty: Warzone, Dota 2, and Rainbow Six Siege are just a handful of the live service games that have created an enormous source of revenue for their respective developers and publishers. As gaming itself continues to delve deeper into becoming predominately online, it should be no surprise that more developers/publishers are looking to cash in on the live service boom. It’s safe to say that the Super Smash Bros. series is a great fighting game franchise. While it isn’t anywhere near my favorite fighting game franchise, there is still much to like about Nintendo’s flagship fighting series. So much so that I own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. It’s a great environment to see characters such as Mario, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong battle it out with other characters such Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, Ryu from Street Fighter, and Snake from Metal Gear Solid. It’s the only officially made fighting game that brings video game characters from a variety of franchises into one game. Continue Reading

When I was taking some courses within a graduate program for organizational psychology a few years ago, cybersecurity was constantly pointed out as one of the most vital departments for a company. Cybersecurity is something that is vitally important to making sure organizations retain their data and that it isn’t leaked to the highest bidder. Yet so many companies put very little emphasis on cybersecurity and the result ends up the hackers being able to have a field day at their expense. And it will become more costly as time goes on.
